Fontoyard

It started in 2015 when 3 neighbourhood friends used to come together weekly to play reggae music in Boxtel , Netherlands. It was T.Gibbs , A.Brito and M.Schelle.  The plan was to form a little band and create own music  and be able to perform. So a band name was needed and the brainstorming had to take place. 
After some time we came up with the name “Fontoyard” meaning a yard full of new creations.  From there on we were then able to post few rough recordings that we’ve made on social media such as Soundcloud and youtube.  During mid 2015 to 2016 Life circumstances turned a few things around witch made that we were not coming together  much anymore. But it was not to long after,  that we had to rearrange our Goals as a band, seeing that it was difficult to continue to move forward  as a band. Eventuall,y Fontoyard became a Soundsystem,  a radio show and a music production.  

While this was happening, the 2 friends kept supporting the movement while one of them took the full responsibility of it. A sound system was build inspired by old fashion reggae sound systems. Old-school reggae vinyls were being collected and we were still making some own productions from time to time.  In 2016 we got the chance to play with the sound system for the first time in the open at Boxtel Bazaar.
 And 2017 we were asked to bring vibes again.  

Not so long after that there was a lot of movement going on in the Netherlands with the equipment. We were looking for a solid ground to settle. Managed to play some events like Dub in the garden editions, Dub ally editions, sessions in Paradiso Amsterdam and Haarlem Patronaat and some more smaller venues.  

During 2018-2019 It became a hassle with the sound system not having a steady place to stay and so decided  to pass it on to a good brethren. 
Now from time to time Fontoyard does sessions in togetherness with The Mighty Dread Warrior Machine.

After passing the sound system on the focus became to work on own production to present and to be heard. Fontoyard music Headquarters is now based in Amsterdam. Collaborating with many reggae Artist abroad and local. The productions remain roots reggae and dub music.  Fontoyard Music is now officially a  registered Label since 2021.
